Yakutia Offers Tuition Compensation for Students in Demand Professions
The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Yakutia is providing tuition compensation for students from large families pursuing in-demand professions. The scheme aims to support education in vital fields and encourage students to stay in Yakutia.
Students can receive 50,000 rubles to cover vocational school tuition fees. The compensation covers a wide range of professions, including Master of General Construction Works, Master of Finishing and Decorative Construction Works, and technical roles like Station Equipment Repairer and Electrician. Other eligible professions span from Welder and Instrument Maker to Plant Operator in Food Production and Mining Equipment Repairer. Additionally, the list includes Underground Electrical Fitter, Ore Dresser, and Operator of Road and Construction Machinery. Furthermore, the scheme extends to service roles such as Master of Furniture Production, Salesperson, Cashier, Cook, Pastry Chef, and Jeweler.
Similar support is offered in other Russian regions. For instance, the Oberspreewald-Lausitz (OSL) region provides medical scholarships to students of human or dental medicine who agree to work locally post-graduation.
The Yakutia Ministry's initiative offers tuition compensation for students from large families pursuing crucial professions. Meanwhile, other regions like OSL region offer targeted support to ensure a steady supply of local professionals.
