Visionary Leaders' Progress Chronicle 2024: The Transformative Odyssey of Innovative Pioneers Crafting Groundbreaking Victories
The Visionary Leaders for Manufacturing (VLFM) Programme, a unique collaboration between the Government of India, premier academic institutions, and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), marked a significant milestone in 2024 with the launch of the VLFM Success Story Book 2024.
Established in December 2006 under a joint technical cooperation agreement between the Prime Ministers of India and Japan, the VLFM Programme has been instrumental in fostering visionary leadership in the manufacturing sector. Over the past sixteen years, the programme has expanded its reach and impact as India paves its path for the centenary of independence.
The VLFM Success Story Book 2024, launched at the CII VLFM Learning Convention and Graduation Ceremony on 19 November 2024 in Mumbai, showcases how VLFM participants have applied the program's principles to achieve remarkable outcomes. The book presents 34 compelling case studies from a wide range of industries, highlighting significant accomplishments in areas such as business breakthrough, quality improvement, productivity enhancement, cost savings, space optimization, material movement reduction, and employee engagement.
The launch of the VLFM Success Story Book 2024 was more than just a celebration; it was a roadmap for India's industrial evolution. The book serves as a call to action for leaders across industries to embrace the transformative power of visionary leadership. It provides practical insights for aspiring leaders and serves as a guiding resource for the manufacturing community.
In addition to the Success Story Book, CII has announced several initiatives to further strengthen the VLFM Programme. Integrated virtual textbooks and structured curricula are being planned, and a standardized practitioner rating system is being introduced to recognise outstanding contributions. The VLFM Awards will be launched to honour these achievements.
Moreover, an Alumni Connect group is being established for fostering collaboration among the 1,300+ VLFM alumni. This group aims to facilitate knowledge sharing, networking, and collaboration among the alumni, further enhancing the impact of the VLFM Programme.
CII reaffirms its commitment to shaping India's growth agenda by cultivating a new generation of leaders.
