Let's Face the Reality: Mom life is hectic—from taking care of the kids and maintaining the household, to working and shuttling to appointments, practices, and playdates. It's an endless to-do list!

But there's an End in Sight: The never-ending chores can feel overwhelming, so you make to-do lists and search for better time management solutions. You have even bought calendars and planners, hoping to conquer the chaos. This was my story too. I tried every organizational method under the sun, but nothing seemed to work… until I discovered time blocking.

The Magic Ingredient: Time blocking is all about designating specific tasks to be completed during a certain block of time during your day. It's a productivity booster that will help you stay on top of your daily responsibilities and make more intentional choices with your time.

Focus on Your Daily Five: Choose 5 key areas you want to focus on each day, such as family, work, household tasks, exercise, and me time. Tailor your list to fit your needs—whether you work outside the home or have young children, the goal is to break your day into manageable tasks.

Divide and Conquer: There are two ways to block out your day. You can be more specific by dividing your days into time segments, like focusing on household chores from 8:00-9:00, then moving on to work from 9:00-11:00. Alternatively, separate your blocks into Morning, Late Morning, Afternoon, Evening, and Late Evening for a more flexible approach.

Brain Dump: Once you've decided how to divide your day, write down everything you'd like to accomplish for the week. Prioritize and divide tasks into their appropriate categories. Remember, you won't be able to get everything done, so be selective and focus on your top priorities.

Put It on Paper: Write your daily priorities and tasks in a planner or calendar, ensuring you've made note of any upcoming appointments for the week. Block your entire day, even when you go to bed, to ensure you're giving yourself downtime.
