Unveiling the 4th virtual installment of the digital art festival, Recto VRso.
The 4th digital edition of the Recto VRso art festival is set to take place online from April 14th to 16th, 2021. First inaugurated in 2018, this virtual rendition promises a program featuring conferences, performances, and artist meetings.
The focus of this year's event revolves around the theme of online art: the creation, exhibition, and visitation of artworks in the virtual realm. Daily conferences will delve into emerging artistic practices, considering the impact of the global pandemic on the cultural sector.
Numerous artists and over 30 speakers are expected to participate, including museum directors, art gallery owners, digital art festival schedulers, university researchers, curators, and more.
Recto VRso has partnered with the online event "Making Lemonade" for this edition. Organized by the French Embassy in Korea, the Goethe Institute, and the Art Center Nabi, the conference and performance sessions will be held every morning from April 14th to 16th at 11am, CET.
On April 14th at 1pm, visitors can access the online World platform and explore the virtual exhibitions and networking areas. Museums, art galleries, universities, and partners schools will showcase their research in virtual reality and art.
A mobile application is available for visitors to schedule business appointments, streamlining their festival experience over the three days. The festival will conclude on Friday, April 16th, with the announcement of the winner of the cross-residency in partnership with Stereolux.
