Texas Woman Found in Scottish 'Cult' Commune, Mother Seeks Help
A Texas woman, Kaura Taylor, has been found living in a remote Scottish commune, sparking concerns about her safety and welfare. The 21-year-old was reported missing from Dallas in May 2025 and was recently discovered in the so-called Kingdom of Kubala near Jedburgh, Scotland. Her mother alleges the group groomed her daughter and bought her a one-way ticket to the UK.
Kaura Taylor's mother, Melba Whitehead, has raised alarm bells about her daughter's situation. She claims the group, led by Kofi Offeh and Jean Gasho, has been manipulating Kaura and has prevented her from leaving. Whitehead has pleaded with Scottish authorities to deport Kaura back to the US. However, Kaura herself denies being coerced and insists she is not in a cult.
Scottish authorities are currently investigating the matter. Police Scotland is looking to engage with Kaura and assess the situation. An expert on spiritual abuse, Rachael Reign, has weighed in, stating that the Kingdom of Kubala has all the hallmarks of a cult. The group was recently evicted from their camp, adding to the growing concerns.
The fate of Kaura Taylor remains uncertain as Scottish authorities continue their investigation. Her mother's pleas for help have highlighted the complex nature of this case, with Kaura insisting she is not in danger despite her mother's concerns. The eviction of the Kingdom of Kubala group has added a new twist to the situation, leaving many questions unanswered.
