Students Reported Summer Employment Numbers by Omicch
In a recent announcement, the local government of the Omsk region has revealed plans to provide temporary employment for 1,800 young people before the end of the year. This initiative is part of a larger goal to offer over 8,000 first-time job opportunities to the region's youth by 2025.
These summer jobs will be available in various sectors, including educational institutions, municipal administrations, budgetary organisations, and other structures. The jobs are in accordance with legislative norms and will not interfere with the educational process.
For those aged 16 and above, the maximum weekly working hours are set at 35 hours. For younger teenagers, the maximum weekly working hours do not exceed 24 hours. Wages for these jobs are proportional to the time worked and will not be less than the minimum wage.
In addition, those employed for summer jobs in Omsk will receive a financial support of 2,535 rubles per month from the personnel centre.
Over 30 different professions are available, with the most in-demand areas being document management, greening and landscaping, maintaining order in parks and squares, courier services, agricultural work, camp counseling, janitorial work, cloakroom attendance, and archiving.
Applications for employment in Omsk can be submitted through the Unified Digital Platform "Work in Russia", and all current vacancies can be found on the "Work in Russia" website. An advertisement for the new school in Omsk can be placed on "Om1 Omsk", and information about the new school can be shared on the same platform.
By the end of the summer, over 6,800 students have already been hired for these jobs in Omsk. This initiative not only provides young people with valuable work experience but also contributes to the community by filling various roles in the region.
