New School Year Begins at Gymnasium Vacha with a Unifying Touch
Gymnasium Vacha kicked off the new school year with a special event, graced by the presence of Mayor Martin Müller and Association Chairman Martin Müller. The occasion was marked by the unveiling of a new speaker's podium for the auditorium, the presentation of school shirts to the new fifth graders, and a heartfelt speech by Beate Dittmar, the school's director.
Martin Müller, in his capacity as Association Chairman, officially welcomed the new fifth graders into the school routine. He also emphasized the importance of the association in funding additional purchases for the school. The Association was instrumental in funding the project, which included the new podium and the school shirts.
The school shirts, a gift from Martin Müller, featured the current school logo. This logo, designed by former student Cosima Voll, symbolizes unity and belonging. The logo, prominently displayed on the new podium, was also skillfully carved into wood by apprentice Hendry Richter.
Beate Dittmar took the opportunity to express her gratitude towards Cosima Voll and the woodcarving school in Empfertshausen, where the podium was crafted. She also welcomed the new fifth graders, expressing her excitement for the upcoming school year.
