Software Republic Expands Cybersecurity Training, Aims to Launch 10 New Services by 2025
Software Republic, a French tech initiative, is expanding its offerings. It's set to launch two cybersecurity training programs in September 2022, and aims to create 10 new services by 2025. The project involves major tech companies and aims to address the cybersecurity skills gap.
The first training program pools existing modules, while the second creates apprenticeship programs in collaboration with Ecole 2600 and EFREI. Software Republic also plans to incubate 50 startups and serve 50 territories by 2025.
Among its projects, four have been realized so far. These include a 'detect & respond' cybersecurity solution for Renault vehicles, a traffic flow modeling tool for territories, an intelligent and secure bidirectional charging station project, and the Software Republic Academy for cybersecurity training. The cybersecurity solution is backed by BPIfrance and involves Orange, Renault Group, Thales, and Parcoor. The traffic flow modeling tool is a collaboration between Dassault Systèmes, Orange, and Renault Group, with a pilot launched in the Correze department.
An Economic Interest Group (EIG) has been established to develop Software Republic's activities and oversee project incubation. Major tech companies like BMW Group, Bosch, NTT DATA, Infineon Technologies, and Telekom Deutschland are involved in creating training and certification programs for the Software Republic Academy.
