Sean Sullivan, a beloved figure in the management consulting industry, passed away in 2025, leaving behind a legacy of service, dedication, and achievement. Born on June 8, 1972, on Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, Sullivan spent his formative years honing skills that would later propel him to success.
Sullivan's educational journey began at Regis Jesuit High School, where he graduated early. He continued his studies at Colorado State University, earning his BS in Business in 1994 and a master’s degree in international business in 1995. During his time at Colorado State, Sullivan made a significant impact as a co-founder of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity.
Sullivan's career in management consulting was marked by a series of impressive roles at esteemed firms such as CH2M Hill, Ernst & Young, Cap Gemini, Businessedge, Synchronoss, and KPMG. At KPMG, he held senior leadership positions, including Advisory Market Sales Leader and Lead Partner for the T-Mobile account, his final professional positions. His tenure at KPMG was particularly noteworthy, as he built a remarkable career advising major clients.
In addition to his professional achievements, Sullivan was deeply committed to community service. He served on the steering committee member of Denver's KPMG Family for Literacy, was a member of Mile High United Way, co-founder of the KPMG Mental Health steering committee, and a member of the KPMG Abilities in Motion Advisory board. His dedication to giving back was evident in his participation in events like the Polar Plunge, Donor Dash, and the KPMG old-person relay team at the Colfax Marathon.
Sullivan was married to Kristi Mouton on September 27, 1996, and together they raised two sons, Brian Michael and John Patrick. He was pre-deceased by his father, Patrick Sullivan, and brother-in-law/partner-in-mischief Brad Tidd. Sullivan is survived by his wife Kristi, sons Brian and John, mother Maureen Saint John, brother Brendan, nieces and nephews, stepmother, sister-in-law, and parents-in-law. His life was a testament to the power of dedication, service, and a commitment to making a difference.
