Unleashing Rural Education: Mahindra Susten & Ennoble's Partnership for a Brighter Future
Getting an education should be a birthright, not a luxury, especially for those living in rural areas. That's why Mahindra Susten has teamed up with Ennoble Social Innovation Foundation to bring modern learning environments to some of these underserved communities in Gujarat. Three primary schools - Nadhari Adivasi Primary School, Vaniyawada Primary School No.1, and Modarsumba Kampa School - have been revitalized and reopened as part of Mahindra Susten's Gyandeep program.
These schools now cater to over 200 students from grades 1 to 8, with 92 girls making up 46% of the student body. This project is more than just a commitment to creating future-ready schools; it's also a nod to the importance of advancing girls' education in these rural regions.
Nestled near Mahindra Susten's 280 MWp solar power project in Modasa district, these schools received extensive makeovers tailored to their individual needs. Now, the schools boast safe, hygienic, and engaging learning environments, equipped with refreshed classrooms, repaired structures, clean drinking water provision, and modernized toilets for both genders. Safety concerns were also addressed, with damaged walls and unstable roofs being repaired, transforming each school into a secure haven for learning. To ensure hygiene and well-being for all students, proper drinking water facilities and updated sanitation blocks are now available at all three schools.
