February 20th and 21st: The University of Pforzheim Hosts an Innovative Research Extravaganza
Get ready for two thrilling days of research and innovation as the University of Pforzheim plays host to over 90 young researchers from the region. The 60th round of the coveted young researchers' competition, "Jugend forscht", kicks off on February 20th and continues on the 21st in the tech-savvy Faculty of Technology.
On day one, a panel of expert judges – hailing from science, education, and business – will scrutinize the budding scientists’ projects. In addition, participants can engage in an array of captivating workshops, fascinating guided tours, and thought-provoking activities to keep the brain cells buzzing. The competition reaches its climax on Friday, February 21st at 2:30 PM, with an official award ceremony in the university's grand auditorium. The lucky winners of each category will be granted the opportunity to compete in the state-level competition in early April 2025. And let's not forget that curious minds who wish to catch a glimpse of the inventive ideas and projects will have the chance from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM before the award ceremony.
The competition theme, "Turn Questions into Answers," inspires students throughout the Pforzheim region to unleash their creativity and put their research projects on display. Ranging from groundbreaking sustainable technologies to artificial intelligence to daring experimental biology, the variety of projects is nothing short of intriguing.
While we don't have all the juicy deets on the specific winners and categories for this competition, previous events have covered fields such as biology, chemistry, earth and space sciences, mathematics/IT, physics, and engineering. The objective remains the same – to ignite the passion for science and technology in our youth and provide them with a platform to share their groundbreaking discoveries.
So, buckle up, folks! The 60th Jugend forscht regional competition is here to spark your curiosity and demonstrate the potential of young minds. Don't forget to catch the action between February 20th and 21st!
