Parents are concerned due to staff shortages at Kita Heideknirpse
In the small town of Bispingen, the kindergarten Heideknirpse is facing a challenging period. With only one group in the elementary area, 20 places available, and 15 children currently enrolled, the resignation of one employee has disrupted the system.
The kindergarten, which employs two kindergarten teachers and one social pedagogical assistant, is at the heart of the community. However, staff shortages in the kindergarten sector, a long-standing problem that is now worsening, have led to this potential three-month closure starting in October.
Steffen Moehrmann, business manager at DRK, is doing everything to find a replacement quickly to avoid temporary closure. The search results do not provide information about the new head of the Kita Heideknirpse who will start after completing training. The DRK and the municipality of Bispingen are coordinating with the state youth office to ensure the problem is solved.
In the meantime, Susanne Hagel, the leader of the Sonnenblume kindergarten, has taken over the leadership at Heideknirpse on an acting basis due to the previous leader's voluntary transfer to another kindergarten.
Parents are understandably worried as they are working and have no alternative childcare. To keep the community informed, the newsletter "Your free weekly review!" offers a selection of carefully chosen articles from Heidekreis, delivered to your mailbox each week. This newsletter, designed to provide clear, concise information without information overload, is free and does not require a long search for the latest news. By signing up for the newsletter, users will always be up-to-date with local highlights.
It's important to note that the employment conditions for kindergarten staff are not as bad as commonly assumed. The new hires at Heideknirpse can expect over 3000 euros gross per month and 33 days of vacation after training.
