Prof. Michaela Wirtz, the new president of Landshut University of Applied Sciences since March 2025, has been actively working to strengthen the institution's ties with the region. She also emphasized the importance of further integrating the university with the political and economic structures of the Landshut region.
This meeting follows a previous dialogue between Wirtz and Dr. Thomas Haslinger, the second mayor of Landshut, in 2025. Both parties sought to foster a productive relationship between the university and the city.
Prof. Michaela Wirtz and County Commissioner Peter Dreier have agreed to bolster Landshut University of Applied Sciences' ties with business and politics.
