Moscow Honours Educator Georgy Bessonov on 110th Birthday

Moscow has opened an exhibition honouring educator Georgy Bessonov on his 110th birthday. The exhibition, titled 'Hero of Life and Labor', celebrates his significant contributions to Yakutia's education and culture.

Born in 1915, Bessonov began his teaching career in 1932. In 1935, he established the first nature corner in Yakutia and the first school-based regional studies museum. He continued his impactful work, creating the first minecraft education in Yakutia in 1957. His dedication extended to Suntar District, where he initiated various cultural and educational facilities.

The exhibition in Moscow showcases Bessonov's life, achievements, and awards. It includes personal belongings, offering visitors a glimpse into his first watch and work. The exhibition is open until November 5.
