New School Year, Enhanced Security Measures in Davao City
Starting June 16, 2025, the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) is ramping up security efforts for the upcoming school year, aiming for a safe and sound learning environment up until 2026. This commitment was emphasized by DCPO spokesperson, Police Captain Hazel Tuazon, during the AFP-PNP Press Conference on June 11, 2025.
"Our station commanders have ensured the availability and readiness of our police force in schools to provide security for the students," Captain Tuazon stated.
Tuazon appealed to parents to report any potential threats their children may face while at school. She expressed that prompt communication would expedite student's return to their families should any untoward incident occur.
Tuazon further elaborated on the importance of student safety and offered police assistance should any concerns arise among parents, particularly those expressing worry about their child's safety.
