Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a significant visit to Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh this Sunday, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for numerous development projects across various sectors.

In Maharashtra, the Prime Minister will visit Nagpur, where he will inaugurate the loitering munition testing range and runway facility for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) at Solar Defence and Aerospace Limited. This facility is expected to boost the defence sector and contribute to India's technological advancement.

The Prime Minister's visit to Nagpur will also include a visit to Smruti Mandir, where he will pay homage to the founding fathers of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Additionally, he will lay the foundation stone for the Madhav Netralaya Premium Centre, a state-of-the-art eye hospital and research centre with a 250-bed hospital, 14 outpatient departments, and 14 modular operation theatres.

In the realm of power generation, the Prime Minister will initiate the commencement of work on the first supercritical thermal power project (2X660 MW) of Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Limited (CSPGCL), worth over Rs 15,800 crores. He will also lay the foundation stone for NTPC's Sipat Super Thermal Power Project Stage-III (1x800 MW), worth over Rs 9,790 crores. These projects aim to improve the power sector, make the state self-reliant in power generation, and provide affordable and reliable power.

The Prime Minister's visit to Maharashtra will coincide with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's Pratipada programme. He will also participate in the "Griha Pravesh" of three lakh beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin (PMAY-G) and hand over keys to some beneficiaries under the scheme.

In Chhattisgarh, the Prime Minister will travel to Bilaspur and dedicate multiple development projects worth over Rs 33,700 crores. His commitments in the state also focus on reducing air pollution, providing cleaner energy solutions, and achieving India's net-zero emission goals.

The Prime Minister will also dedicate three power transmission projects of Powergrid under the Western Region Expansion Scheme (WRES), worth over Rs 560 crores. Furthermore, he will dedicate two flagship educational initiatives - 130 PM SHRI Schools across 29 districts in the state and Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK) at Raipur.

Recent projects and initiatives by Prime Minister Modi include the inauguration of several projects, such as those in Andhra Pradesh and Kerala. He recently dedicated projects worth over ₹4,000 crore in Kochi, including a new dry dock facility and an LPG import terminal.
