Learn 'New Authority' Parenting: Free Lecture in Lippstadt

Lippstadt family centers and the city's childcare department invite parents to a special evening, 'Who's the Boss? Setting Rules and Boundaries in Loving Parenting', on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. The main event features a lecture by Matthias Bartscher, an experienced educational consultant from Hamm, who will explore various parenting styles and provide practical tips for daily family life.

Bartscher, a graduate pedagogue, systemic consultant, anti-violence trainer, and father of three, will delve into the concept of 'New Authority' by Haim Omer. This model emphasizes nonviolent resistance and parental authority based on presence, support, and calm, rather than coercion or punishment. The lecture will address everyday situations like encouraging children to follow routines or complete tasks without arguments.

Bartscher will also discuss different parenting styles, such as treating children as partners or friends, or providing guidance and leadership. He will present the pros and cons of each approach and help parents understand that there is no one-size-fits-all solution in parenting. The event is free and open to all, with no prior registration required. After the lecture, there will be time for questions and exchange.

Join Matthias Bartscher on November 4, 2025, at 7:30 PM at the Lippstadt Adult Education Center to learn about the 'New Authority' concept and gain practical insights into effective parenting. This event aims to empower caregivers and educators to set limits while maintaining respect and connection with their children.
