Joy Multiplied by Dual Achievements of Gifted Individuals
IKK Southwest, one of the largest health insurers in Germany, has welcomed 21 new apprentices as part of its 2025 program. The new recruits bring fresh energy and perspectives to the company, which is dedicated to providing a high standard of healthcare for its insured.
Located in the southwest of Germany, IKK Southwest prioritizes training local talent, as emphasized by CEO Professor Dr. Jörg Loth. The new apprenticeship program offers a special first week, combining information with interaction, to help them settle in and prepare for their roles.
David, one of the new apprentices, has made a career change into the healthcare sector after feeling underchallenged in his previous job in logistics. For him, the opportunity to work at IKK Southwest represents a chance to make a meaningful contribution to the health and wellbeing of people in the region.
The new apprentices are not just beneficiaries of the program; they are also important drivers for the implementation of digitalization strategy and the development of new innovative products, according to Daniel Schilling, a board colleague of Professor Dr. Jörg Loth.
IKK Southwest's commitment to binding qualified professionals from its own ranks in the long term is evident in the successful takeover of the 12 apprentices who completed the program last year. Their successful completion of exams and subsequent employment by the company is a testament to the quality of the training provided.
The apprenticeship and training opportunities offered by IKK Southwest include social insurance specialist, health care merchant, dialogue marketing, and dual degree in health economics. The training takes place at seven locations in Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate, and Saarland.
More information about IKK Southwest can be found at www.ikk-suedwest.de. The company can be contacted at 19 customer centers across the region, 24/7 via the IKK Service Hotline 0681/3876 1000, through their app, and online business platform "My IKK Südwest".
As part of the first week program, the new apprentices participated in a team-building measure: an annual alpaca hike. This unique event is one of many ways IKK Southwest fosters a positive and supportive work environment.
IKK Southwest brings well-founded perspectives to current healthcare debates, particularly on issues that matter to people in the region. With a sustainable personnel policy that values the contributions of young professionals, the company is well-positioned to continue shaping the future of healthcare in Germany.
- David, as part of his career change into the healthcare sector, finds the opportunity to work at IKK Southwest an avenue for personal growth and enrichment, given the company's dedication to education-and-self-development and personal-growth, as well as its focus on learning and innovation.
- The new apprentices at IKK Southwest, beyond being the beneficiaries of the training program, play a crucial role in driving the company's education-and-self-development agenda, especially in the areas of digitalization strategy and the development of new innovative products.
