Initiating construction of the school's gravel pathway in the desert
In the heart of Bergisch Gladbach, a city renowned for its green and natural environments, a new chapter is unfolding. The city is currently witnessing the start of construction for a state-of-the-art kindergarten at Schulstraße, built using an eco-friendly wooden panel method.
The project, which has received a building permit, is being carried out by Terhalle, a company from Ahaus. The client, Schulbau GmbH Bergisch Gladbach, is excited about the commencement of the project's implementation.
Mayor Frank Stein has emphasised the strategic importance of the project, stating that it is a significant step forward in providing quality early years education facilities for the city's growing number of families. Claudia Werker, head of the department 5 - Youth and Social Affairs, expressed her delight, calling the project a successful example of effective collaboration between the city, construction companies, and local stakeholders.
Sebastian Rolko, the Managing Director, and Mr. Hingst, the Project Manager, are leading the project management. They are ensuring that the construction process runs smoothly and that the project stays true to its eco-friendly ethos.
One of the key features of the new kindergarten is the preservation of an old lime tree between the cemetery and the kindergarten plot. This tree will be protected throughout the construction phase, symbolising the city's commitment to preserving its natural heritage.
While specific details about traffic management have not been disclosed, it is common for new construction projects in residential and family-oriented communities like Bergisch Gladbach to focus heavily on cooperation with neighbours to develop traffic solutions that minimise disruption and enhance safety.
Stephan Dekker, Deputy Mayor, has highlighted the good preparation for the project, including early-stage discussions with the future operator. The construction site is located in Sand, and the first work for the foundation is already underway.
The new kindergarten will provide space for approximately 70 children in four groups. It is expected to open in the next kindergarten year, offering a warm, sustainable, and eco-friendly learning environment for the city's youngest residents.
Ragnar Migenda, first Deputy Mayor, is particularly involved in the coordination for the pick-up and drop-off service, ensuring a smooth transition for the children and their families. The city of Bergisch Gladbach is closely following the project's progress, demonstrating its commitment to providing high-quality facilities for its residents.
The new kindergarten, under construction at Schulstraße in Bergisch Gladbach, will not only be a testament to modern early years education but also a significant contribution to environmental-science education, given its eco-friendly design and preservation of the old lime tree. This project, being led by Sebastian Rolko and Mr. Hingst from Terhalle, is a prime example of effective collaboration in education-and-self-development, as demonstrated by the partnership between the city, construction companies, and local stakeholders.
