Summertime at Princeton University is a bustling period of academic growth, research, and skill-building for motivated underclassmen. Here's a roundup of some of the exciting opportunities available for the summer of 2019.

John C. Bogle Fellowship The John C. Bogle Fellowship, open only to first-year students, offers an award of $4500 to design a unique summer internship experience in civic service. The application deadline falls on March 25th.

Princeton Internships in Civic Service (PICS) PICS provides 8-10 week paid internships at nonprofits across the United States and in a few countries abroad. The deadline for applications is December 7th.

Princeton in Argentina (Spanish), Princeton in Portugal (Portuguese), Princeton in Munich (German), Princeton in Spain (Spanish), Princeton in Ishikawa (Japanese), Princeton in St. Petersburg (Russian), Princeton in Aix en Provence (French), and Princeton in Beijing (Chinese) Each of these programmes offers a chance to study abroad and immerse oneself in a new language and culture. The exact deadlines for these programmes vary, so it's best to check Princeton's official archives for the most up-to-date information.

Princeton Start-Up Immersion Program (PSIP) PSIP offers 8-10 week internships at startups in Tel Aviv, New York, and Shanghai. The deadline for applications is December 1st.

The Streickers International Fellows Program This programme allows students to design their own international internship with a host organisation of their choice. Deadlines for applications are on January 14th and March 25th.

The Guggenheim Internships in Criminal Justice Offering New York City internships in criminal justice and non-profit organisations, the deadline for applications is February 15th.

Projects for Peace Students can submit proposals for projects which promote peace and address conflicts to the Kathryn W. Davis initiative, Projects for Peace. The deadline for applications is November.

Global Seminars and IES Study Abroad These programmes offer unique study abroad opportunities, with specific details varying according to the University/program.

Princeton's International Internship Program (IIP) IIP offers stipends for hundreds of 8-week unpaid international internships all over the world in a wide range of fields. The deadline for applications is December 5th.

Office of Undergraduate Research - Student Initiated Internships (OURSIP) OURSIP provides grants to first-year students and sophomores who have independently secured or designed an unpaid faculty-mentored research internship over the summer. The deadline for applications is March 4th (priority) to April 1st (final).

ReMatch+ Summer Program This programme funds nine-week graduate- or postdoctoral-mentored research internships over the summer. Students can find a mentor in the fall through ReMatch events and apply for the summer program by February 11th. This opportunity is open only to first years and sophomores.
