Fresh faces join the primary Customs Office in Schweinfurt: 23 young recruits embark on their customs profession
The Main Customs Office Schweinfurt welcomed 23 new recruits on September 2, 2025. These young individuals have embarked on a secure and exciting career in the customs service, a large federal administration that offers a wide range of varied tasks.
With 1,700 young people starting their training or study in the middle or higher service, or in administrative informatics with customs on September 1, 2025, the customs service continues to be a sought-after career choice.

The new customs officers are undergoing either a two-year training in the middle service or a three-year bachelor's degree course in the higher service. The training in the middle service qualifies for the professional title of "financial administrator". The dual study concludes with the academic degree "Bachelor of Laws".
The Main Customs Office Schweinfurt offers training and study opportunities for the middle and higher customs service. The trainees spend their practical phases in various departments of the training customs office and at nearby customs offices. The theoretical parts of the higher service training are completed at the Federal Administration School in Münster.
The spectrum of employment areas includes casework, special units, financial control, and customs investigation. The dual study of administrative informatics is offered by the General Customs Directorate.
