Expanded Access to Apple Learning Coach Program for Additional Educators Nationwide
The Apple Education Community, a professional learning hub for educators who use Apple technology, is now available. This expansive platform offers hundreds of free resources in 16 languages, with content accessible to users worldwide in the Forum.
Today, the Forum's collaboration features have been extended to Community members in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK, and the US, allowing for smoother collaboration and communication.
Inside the Apple Education Community, the new Everyone Can Create Projects are now available. These projects aim to empower educators and students with the skills to create, collaborate, and innovate using Apple's creative apps. The projects include Design with Shapes in Keynote, Animate with Stop Motion using Photos and Keynote, Create Editing Effects with iMovie, and Write Your First Song using GarageBand.
The Pages, Numbers, and Keynote apps have been updated to offer a more collaborative experience. Users can now view recent activity in collaborative files, receive notifications when people join, comment, and make edits, and even remove or replace the background of images and live video objects.
The Apple Learning Coach program, a free professional learning program designed to help educators coach teachers on how to get the most out of Apple products, is now accepting applications until November 16, 2022. Participants in the program come away with a coaching portfolio, a cohort of peers, and the opportunity to apply for continuing education credits from Lamar University.
Swift Playgrounds, a free coding app available on the App Store, has been updated to help users learn the fundamentals of machine learning and arrange app layouts by building a journal app, with no prior coding knowledge required. The app is compatible with iPad devices running iPadOS 16 or later and Mac devices running macOS Ventura or later.
Moreover, the latest updates for Pages, Numbers, Keynote, and Swift Playgrounds support new desktop-class iPad features on iPadOS 16, including a customizable toolbar, new document menu, and support for Stage Manager.
