Details on privileged access for enrollment at the Nizhny Novgorod Academy affiliated with the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the year 2025

The Nizhny Novgorod Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia has established a unique set of admission policies to support various groups, including those who have been affected by the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, children of military personnel and law enforcement officers, and academically gifted students.

For citizens who have been exposed to radiation due to the Chernobyl disaster, priority is given in admission for full-time programs in Bachelor's and Specialist's degrees. Achievements are accounted for by awarding points, with a maximum of 10 points for admission to these programs. Participants in the school Olympiad receive 5 points, while having a high school diploma with excellent grades awards another 10 points.

Children of military personnel and employees who have died or been injured, fallen ill, or passed away due to their duties, including during counter-terrorism operations and other anti-terrorism activities, are given priority in admission. Those who have served in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the National Guard, or participated in a special military operation on certain territories also have a separate quota for admission.

Children of Heroes of the Russian Federation and individuals awarded with three Orders of Valor are granted admission within a separate quota, while children of deceased Heroes of the Soviet Union, Heroes of the Russian Federation, and full Cavaliers of the Order of Glory have priority in admission.

Additionally, students who have achieved in intellectual and creative competitions, physical culture events, and sports events organized by educational institutions of the MVD of Russia can earn points for admission. Having a sports rank or title, a silver and/or gold badge of distinction of GTO, and participation in the All-Russian Olympiad "On Guard for the Economy" can also earn points or exemptions from entrance exams.

Orphans and children left without parental care are granted admission within established quotas, provided they successfully pass entrance and additional entrance exams. Graduates of Suvorov military schools of the MVD of Russia are also entitled to admission benefits.

It's worth noting that these policies are not exhaustive, and the Nizhny Novgorod Academy may offer special considerations for other groups as well. For detailed and accurate information, it's best to contact the Academy directly or consult their official website.

These special admission policies aim to support those who have served, or whose families have served, the nation, as well as those with exceptional academic achievements. By offering these benefits, the Nizhny Novgorod Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia is fostering a diverse and talented student body.

Prioritized admission is given to individuals who have been affected by the Chernobyl nuclear disaster in full-time Bachelor's and Specialist's degree programs, with a maximum of 10 points awarded for participation in the school Olympiad or excellent high school grades. Personal growth and learning opportunities are also encouraged and recognized, as students who excel in intellectual, creative, physical culture, sports events, hold a sports rank or title, or have participated in the All-Russian Olympiad "On Guard for the Economy" can earn points or exemptions from entrance exams.
