Completed Training with Flying Colors
The Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labor and Tourism in Baden-Württemberg is taking steps to address skills shortages and ensure a successful start for trainees entering the workforce. The ministry is supporting 30 training coaches at 17 carriers across the state. These coaches are tasked with stabilizing at-risk training relationships and reducing contract terminations. If a dropout cannot be avoided, the training coaches work together to develop and implement suitable follow-up prospects. The training coaches also support small and medium-sized enterprises to ensure high-quality training. They individually assist trainees and trainers in companies when a training relationship is at risk. The statewide coordinating body for this initiative, known as the Successfully-Trained program, is located at the Consulting and Economic Development Company for Crafts and SMEs GmbH (BWHM GmbH). The tasks of the coordinating body include developing branch-specific offers with regard to the quality of training and providing an exchange of experiences and further training for training coaches. For citizens who wish to get in touch with the ministry, there is an email available. The press office can also be reached via email for press inquiries. A contact form is available on the ministry's website for those who prefer to use an online form. Recently, a press release was issued stating that vocational schools in Baden-Württemberg are under pressure and long-term construction sites are not being addressed. The Successfully-Trained project offers a contact point for trainees and companies in Baden-Württemberg to address these challenges. Moreover, the Training Alliance Baden-Württemberg is committed to strengthening vocational orientation and ensuring quality training. The alliance's efforts are aimed at providing a strong foundation for trainees as they embark on their careers. Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, Minister of Economic Affairs, Labor and Tourism, emphasized the importance of completing training to launch a career. She encourages everyone to take advantage of the resources available through the Successfully-Trained program and the Training Alliance Baden-Württemberg. For more information about the Successfully-Trained program, please visit the BWHM GmbH website.
