Marta Foresti: A Multifaceted Leader in Creative Economy, Migration, and Policy
Marta Foresti, an influential figure, has a diverse career spanning various sectors, notably the creative economy, migration, and policy. She is the founder and CEO of LAGO Collective, a research and creative collective focusing on migration, culture, and the arts.
Previously, Foresti held notable positions as an executive and senior advisor in leading research and policy organizations. She served as Managing and Executive Director at ODI, where she established and led the institute's migration and governance work and established ODI Europe. At present, she remains a Senior Visiting Fellow at ODI and leads the Africa-Europe Mayors' Dialogue.
Through her career, Foresti has collaborated with senior teams in UN agencies, international organizations, philanthropic foundations, and national and city governments. Notably, she advised the Italian Treasury's ministerial team on local economic development policies and led Save the Children UK Evaluation and Research Unit. She currently serves as Senior Adviser at the Moleskine Foundation and Senior Visiting Fellow at the London School of Economics and Birmingham University.
Foresti holds an MA in philosophy of science and logic from La Statale of Milan and an MSc in research methods and theory of probability from the London School of Economics.
