Baden-Württemberg State Police Hosts 'Night of Applicants' on October 2, 2025
The Baden-Württemberg State Police is inviting young people, career changers, and lateral entrants to participate in the 'Night of Applicants' event on October 2, 2025. This unique opportunity will take place at two locations: the police station in Nürtingen (district of Esslingen) and the police station in Albstadt (Zollernalb district), from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
Registration is mandatory to attend this event. Interested individuals can register by sending an email to [email protected]. The email should include the registrant's name, first name, address, age, telephone number, and the desired event location.
During the event, various organizational units of the police will present their different areas of work. Attendees will get a chance to learn about the police dog unit, criminal police, criminal technology, traffic police, and patrol service. Additionally, they will receive information about training and study opportunities at the Baden-Württemberg State Police.
For questions about the police profession, application and hiring requirements, and training for the middle service or study for the higher service, recruiting advisors of the Police Headquarters Reutlingen are available. They can be reached at [email protected] or by phone.
For the study as a higher police service officer, the Abitur, the Fachhochschulreife, or an equivalent qualification is required. On the other hand, for the training as a middle police service officer, at least a medium-level school leaving certificate is required as a prerequisite for application.
In 2025, the Baden-Württemberg State Police was able to fill around 1200 new positions, including training places for the middle police service and study places for the higher police service. A similarly high number of new hires is expected in 2026.
