Boeing Opens New Engineering Center in Florida, Creating 400 Jobs

Boeing has expanded its footprint in Florida, opening a new Engineering Center at Embry‐Riddle Aeronautical University's Research Park. The facility, located in Daytona Beach, is expected to create around 400 high-paying jobs and support Boeing's defense programs.

The Boeing Engineering Center spans an impressive 65,000 square feet and will focus on engineering design, research, development, and prototyping for Boeing Defense, Space & Security Air Dominance programs. This significant investment by Boeing is anticipated to accelerate critical defense programs and strengthen its partnership with Embry‐Riddle.

In addition to its operational impact, the facility has already contributed to the local economy. The Embry‐Riddle Research Park has created nearly 2,000 jobs and generated over $372 million in total economic impact in Florida. Boeing's commitment to the region is further demonstrated by its $100,000 investment to support STEM programming for the Boys & Girls Club and provide food for students in need through the Second Harvest Food Bank.

The Boeing Engineering Center is now fully operational, set to create around 400 high-paying jobs in Daytona Beach and Volusia County. Its focus on engineering design and research is expected to significantly contribute to Boeing's defense programs and deepen its partnership with Embry‐Riddle. Beyond its operational impact, the facility has already shown substantial economic benefits and community support.
