Board Shifts Work Session Date in JCSD1 Decision
Johnson County School Board Reschedules September Work Session
The Johnson County School Board has announced a change in the date for the September Work Session, originally scheduled for Wednesday, September 3. Following a discussion during a recent meeting, the board has voted to approve moving the date.
According to acting chairperson Marcia Goddard, the change is due to a schedule conflict. She provided details about the conflict during the meeting. The new date for the September Work Session, as approved by the board, is Tuesday, September 2.
One of the key agenda items for the rescheduled September work session will be the annual evaluation of Superintendent Charles Auzqui. This is a significant item on the agenda, as it provides an opportunity for the board to review and assess the superintendent's performance.
The Public Work Session is intended for Board Members to obtain additional information, and no formal votes will be taken during this session. The session will start at 5:45 PM, followed by the Board Meeting at 6:00 PM. The venue for both meetings will be John Young Middle School, 1801 North Main Street, Mishawaka.
Despite initial reports suggesting a new date of Wednesday, September 10, 2025, it appears there has been a misunderstanding. The correct rescheduled date for the September Work Session is Tuesday, September 2.
The decision about the new date for the September Work Session has been officially confirmed by the Johnson County School Board. The board's consideration of a change in the date for the September Work Session was first announced during the meeting.
