Board Endorses September's Staffing Decisions by JCSD1
In Johnson County, there have been some shifts in staff roles at two of the schools.
Michael File has been approved as a full-time custodian at Cloud Peak Elementary School (CPES), replacing Anita Harbarger who has taken on new responsibilities within the district. Kimberly Wienke, on the other hand, is returning to work after her recent resignation and has been approved as a High Needs Paraprofessional at Meadowlark Elementary School.
Anita Harbarger, previously a full-time custodian at CPES, has been transferred to a role as a floater custodian and transportation employee with the district. This new role involves duties outside of CPES and includes transportation responsibilities, marking a departure from her previous full-time position at the school.
The district has expanded Anita Harbarger's responsibilities beyond her previous role at CPES, and her new role is not limited to a specific school. This means she may be called upon to assist at various schools within the district as needed.
Meanwhile, Kimberly Wienke's departure from CPES last month left the position of High Needs Paraprofessional vacant. The district has not yet announced who has replaced her in this role.
In other news, the Johnson County School Board has approved the employment of Marissa Overton as the Special Olympics Assistant Sponsor. This new role will see Overton working alongside the existing Special Olympics team to support students with disabilities in their athletic pursuits.
