Neighborhood Villages Appoints Binal Patel as New Executive Director

Binal Patel, a seasoned early childhood education professional and economics graduate, has been named the new executive director of Neighborhood Villages. With a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from New York University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California, San Diego, Patel brings a unique blend of academic and practical expertise to her new role.

Patel's career in early childhood education began unexpectedly. After quitting her job as a Marketing Analyst, she took on the role of an Assistant Teacher in a Preschool. This initial teaching role proved to be pivotal, influencing her decision to dedicate her life to education, particularly in the early years.

Prior to her appointment as executive director, Patel served as the chief program officer at Neighborhood Villages. In this role, she spearheaded the implementation of direct service programs and was instrumental in the organization's growth.

In her new position, Patel will focus on developing a strategic plan, implementing programs, and navigating the current landscape. She will also work on Neighborhood Villages' Registered ECE Apprenticeship program for early education teachers and Directors, aiming to bring effective innovations to scale in partnership with government.

Neighborhood Villages is a nonprofit organisation dedicated to providing all families access to affordable, high-quality early education and care. Under Patel's leadership, the organisation aims to continue its mission, striving to improve access to quality early childhood education.

Patel's journey in early childhood education has been marked by personal growth and professional development. She credits her mentor and director in her first teaching role for instilling confidence in her and validating her potential as an educator. After her initial foray into teaching, Patel pursued a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education at NYU, further solidifying her commitment to the field.

With her extensive experience, Patel is well-positioned to lead Neighborhood Villages into a new era, driving innovation and fostering quality early education for all.

Binal Patel, in her new position as executive director, will focus on strategies for personal growth and self-development, including the implementation of a strategic plan and bringing effective innovations to Neighborhood Villages' Registered ECE Apprenticeship program.
