The Lower Saxony Police Academy in Hann. Münden is set to revolutionize its recruitment process with the introduction of a new selection method aimed at creating a fair, efficient, and applicant-friendly process for all candidates. This modernized approach, which will be used for the first time in the recruitment year 2026, has been developed by the German Aerospace Center (DLR).
The new selection process, spanning over three days, will evaluate various aspects of the applicants, including their logical thinking, concentration, personality factors, German language skills, and value orientation. To ensure the quality and future viability of the police selection process, the process will become more digital, transparent, and efficient.
The selection process will begin at the Lower Saxony Police Academy in Hann. Münden, with the second day taking place in Hann. Münden as well. Centralization at the location means that applicants will only have to travel once for certain steps of the process. The selection committee will be present both on-site and digitally on the second day of the process.
