Astana's number of schools providing comfort will increase to 24, as announced by Genis Kasymbek.

Astana, now known as Nur-Sultan, is actively constructing schools, with plans to open 15 new educational facilities for the upcoming 2025-2026 academic year. Seven of these schools are part of the national "Comfortable Schools" project, aimed at creating modern, well-equipped learning environments.

The local government, led by Äkim Jenis Qasymbek, has emphasised its commitment to infrastructure development as part of broader social improvements. The announcement was made on Jenis Qasymbek's Instagram account and was reported by Vechernyaya Astana.

In the 2025-2026 academic year, 15 new schools will open, with nearly half (7) under the "Comfortable Schools" initiative. These new schools will accommodate over 28,000 students in two shifts, helping to alleviate the overcrowding issues in 4 schools with three-shift education and 7 overcrowded schools.

The construction of these schools is in accordance with the instruction of the Head of State. The "Comfortable School" buildings are being built in all districts of the city, and the progress of construction is being inspected by Jenis Qasymbek, Roman Sklyar, and Ganiy Beyisembayev.

Currently, Astana boasts 24 schools, with 16 of them being "Comfortable Schools". Last academic year, 24 schools were commissioned, and this academic year, another 15 schools will be opened. The city is paying special attention to the construction of social facilities, including schools, kindergartens, and school palaces.

The expansion of educational infrastructure is not limited to the "Comfortable Schools" project. Construction of other social facilities continues in the city of Astana, aiming to improve overall social services for its growing population.

Education-and-self-development initiatives are being prioritized in Astana with the construction of 15 new schools for the 2025-2026 academic year, seven of which are part of the "Comfortable Schools" project. These educational facilities aim to accommodate over 28,000 students, alleviating overcrowding issues in several schools and improving overall learning environments as part of the city's emphasis on infrastructure development.
