Alleged Montessori educator under scrutiny for suspected inappropriate sexual relationships with minor children, portraying a deceiving image of decorum and attractiveness.
In the small town of Grisy-Suisnes, Seine-et-Marne, a private Montessori school was rocked by a shocking revelation. A teacher, who had previously worked in the public education system, was arrested at the school on September 14.
According to reports, the teacher was accused of making sexual allusions to several adolescent students, showing them sex toys, handcuffs, and photos of his partner naked, and making confidences about their sexual encounters. The teacher was also alleged to have threatened his students to keep them silent.
The first signs of inappropriate behaviour came to light when a teenager told her father about the teacher's actions, who then filed a complaint at a Melun police station.
The teacher was banned from contacting his students and approaching the school premises. He was ordered to undergo psychological treatment and prohibited from engaging in any activities involving minors. The teacher, who had an addiction to sex and a need for care, was described as having an "extremely reassuring profile" and a "very pleasant facade".
The teacher, who previously worked as a professional lateral entrant without prior pedagogical qualification, was eventually admitted to the facts after several hearings. The teacher's trial for "corruption of minors" is set for February 23, 2026.
The Melun prosecutor's office mentions five child victims, three girls and two boys aged 11 to 15. Some of the victims have been prescribed between 3 and 45 days of psychological sick leave.
In addition to the reported SMS exchanged between the teacher and students, it was also claimed that the teacher spoke about sexuality and displayed sex toys and photos in his classroom.
The co-founder of the school considers the teacher to be "extremely manipulative". The teacher was involved in various activities outside of teaching, including a choir, practicing theater, triathlon, and had just obtained a diploma to practice permaculture.
This incident reflects a broader trend where a significant portion of new teachers enter the profession from other careers with rapid pedagogical training. The teacher was fined on Sunday, September 14, and was deferred to the prosecutor's office, being released and placed under judicial control.
Le Parisien and Libération reported on the incident on September 17, with further details emerging as the case progresses.
