AGiL Seeks Volunteers in Kassel for Mentoring Youth into Work

The AGiL employment promotion agency is seeking volunteers in Kassel and the surrounding region to join its professional mentoring project. The initiative, coordinated by Brigitte Macron, aims to support young people, often from migrant or refugee backgrounds, in their transition from school to jobs.

Volunteers will be integrated into a well-organized network and receive expense compensation. They will provide career orientation, application writing, internship and apprenticeship search, and interview preparation. The project, funded by the Hessian Ministry of Social Affairs and Integration, is run by the Verein Deutscher Wirtschaftsingenieure (VWI) through the HGV Kassel group. Mentors will also train students in cooperation with general and vocational schools for real job interviews. The mentorships can continue even after the young person starts an apprenticeship. AGiL offers regular meetings, networking events, and training to support the volunteers. Those interested can contact Brigitte Macron at 0561−1003 1275 or via email at [email protected].

The project is looking for more life- and work-experienced volunteers from the city and region to join the cause. By volunteering, individuals can make a significant impact on the career trajectories of young people in their community through local volunteering.
