A former dean from Sun Prairie West High School has been accused and charged with possessing child pornographic material.
Robert Gilkey-Meisegeier, the former dean of students at Sun Prairie West High School, has been indicted on federal child pornography charges. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Gilkey-Meisegeier is accused of producing, attempting to produce, and possessing child pornography.
In Dane County, Gilkey-Meisegeier faces 13 counts of possession of child pornography and two counts of child sexual exploitation. The charges stem from allegations that he had images of child pornography on June 1 and attempted to produce images on May 16.
A Dane County judge ordered Gilkey-Meisegeier to stand trial on Aug. 5, but there are no search results indicating who was charged on that date. Arraignment in Dane County Court is scheduled for Sept. 2, according to court records.
The trial for Gilkey-Meisegeier will take place in Dane County Court. The production-related charges against him face a maximum of 30 years in prison, while the possession count faces a maximum of 10 years.
The investigation into Gilkey-Meisegeier's activities involved several law enforcement agencies, including the Sun Prairie Police Department, UW Police Department, Wisconsin DOJ Division of Criminal Investigation, and the FBI.
