PM Internship Scheme Opens Registration for Aspiring Interns
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has announced the start of the registration process for internships under the PM Internship Scheme. The scheme aims to provide young Indians with valuable work experience across various sectors.
Who Can Apply
To be eligible, applicants must be Indian citizens aged between 21 and 24 years as of the application deadline. Candidates must not be currently engaged in a full-time job or full-time academic program.
Eligible educational qualifications include CA, CMA, CS, MBBS, BDS, MBA, PhD, or any UGC-recognised master's or higher degree, as well as specific educational qualifications such as ITI certificate, Polytechnic diploma, or a bachelor's degree (BA, BSc, BCom, BCA, BBA, BPharma) from a recognised institution. Enrollment in online or distance learning courses is allowed.
Certain candidates are not eligible to apply, including those younger than 21 or older than 24 years, pursuing full-time education or full-time employment, having professional or higher qualifications, already part of government-sponsored training or apprenticeship schemes, whose family income exceeds ₹8 lakh in FY 2023-24, having family members who are permanent government employees (excluding contractual workers), and international applicants.
Documents Required
The primary documents required to apply are an Aadhaar card and educational certificates. Aadhaar card details are auto-fetched and non-editable, while final, completion, or assessment certificates are accepted for educational certificates.

Stipend and Employment
Interns will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 5,000 throughout the 12-month internship program.
